NORTHERN IRISH GENEALOGY NEWSLETTER
March 2013
Templepatrick Presbyterian Church Census, 1831
In a further addition to our Church Census Collection, we've recently included over 1,000 new records listing members of the 1831 Templepatrick Presbyterian Church Congregation in County Antrim.

Our Exclusive Church Census Collection offers a valuable resource to researchers looking for ancestors during a period of Irish History which is sadly lacking in Official Census records. Look out for our regular updates of further church census records being added during Spring & Summer 2013.

PRONI to release Griffiths Valuation Revision Books online
The Public Record Office of Northern is scheduled to release online access to the Griffith's Valuation Revision (or Cancelled Land) Books from Wednesday 27th March 2013.

Griffith's Valuation lists occupiers of land in Ireland in the mid 19th Century and is a great starting point for establishing what area your ancestors might be from. While the original Griffith's Valuation has been available online for some time at www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/
, the Revision Books now being placed online mean that researchers can follow changes in the land ownership in subsequent years. This often provides clues as to dates of death and the names of subsequent generations of the same family.
Keep an eye out for this long awaited release containing almost 450,000 page images at www.proni.gov.uk
