If you are looking for census records for County Down, then take a look at this site. The site owner is researching his own family 'Meaney' but also has databases of the 1901 census.

I have found my Dads side of my family on the 1911 Census
His Mother (my granny) and her 2 sons were visiting her family on the day of the census hence they are on the street address of her family 17 Earl Street Dock Ward (Belfast Clifton) Antrim
Her husband (my dads dad, my grandfather ) seemed to be visiting his family Edwards on the day of the census
Hence I do not know their own home address
However what is confusing me is on the family Census listing of the Edwards family the last 2 people listed are Hester Louisa daughter
and Ernest Albert son (this is my dads dad) whose wife was at her parents home at the time of the census listing ..
the address given for Hester Louisa his sister is Tara Co Down and the address given for Ernest is also Tara Co down
am i reading it correctly
Where was Tara ??!!! in Co Down or was it a house name an institution name or area name or what ?
Any ideas anyone could help me with please
These people lived in 90 Rodin Street(St Anne's Ward) Co Antrim
Any help appreciatted to find out what address is given beside Ernest Albert Edwards name as i jsut cannot make it out properly and do not recognize it at all
I had a look at the Census for your Grandfather. You were correct,it was Tara Co Down.I found this result for you
Tara was a townland of 275 Acres in the County of Down. Barony Ards Upper, Civil Parish Witter, Downpatrick, Ulster
Hope this helps
Tara was also the name of the House in the book and movie "Gone with the wind" This may have made you think that it was not a real place
