Free Records Liverpool, Church, Newspaper Clippings

This site is just jam packed full of information, with church records and newspaper clippings. This would be of great interest to any one researching ancestors in Liverpool. This is one site that i will come back to.

I need to find a newspaper report of a death which took place in Liverpool in September 1957 and hopefully a report and photograph. It is a sad case of a bridegroom who died from Asian flu six months after he married.

Can you advise me as to where to find this information. Your help will be much appreciated.

Hello Pat,
The first thing that i would do is to find the death record of the person you are looking for.
You may find this through lancashire BMD OR Free BMD Records. I have links to both of them on this site. When you are sure you have the death record you are looking for then order a death certificate.
You did not mention where you lived but if you are near Liverpool then get in touch with the main Libary and ask them if they have copies of newspapers for that period. I would think that they would have these records but they will not be on line ,you will have to visit.

Good Luck
