Free BMD Records Staffordshire

The Register Offices in the county of Staffordshire, England hold records of local births, Marriages and Death back to the civil registration in 1837.
The records are not yet complete but will eventually cover all BMD Records for the years 1837 to 1950 and beyond.

can cnyone help me i have a problem concerning my family tree,regarding place names.My relatives roughly all came from the area, in stoke on trent which surrounds cheadle, checkley, hollington,tean, and ipstone. The problem lies with place names, as you know when trying to trace relatives , who lived in the 17th,18th,19th centuries lots of the old place names have disappeard and i cant find find them on modern day maps , can anyone help me please
