Hello, I'm looking for a birth or baptism record of Anna Burn, born around 1838 in Kendal, Westmorland. Parents are Richard Burn and Mary Alice Longbotham. I found her sister Sarah in 1840 but cannot find Anna. Any help would be appreciated!

Long Marton was in the East Ward Registration District of Westmorland from 1837-1937.In my opinion the 'Ann from East Ward' is your Anna.You can order her birth certificate using the volume and page number on the record i gave you. I have found a Aubone Surtees married to Elizabeth living in Newcastle Upon Tyne.He has about eight children all born between 1750 and 1760
I also found the marriage for Ralph and Margaret and the birth records for some of their children. Could Aubone be the one you are looking for.It is possible that Aubone had two bothers in the same area a John and a Joseph
My Ralph Surtees was a calico printer in carlisle, and later a grocer in botchergate where he dies in 1839, at the grand old age of 88. Aubone surtees, as I recall, was more landed gentry, and not of the same class. Margaret, his wife, I know from the banns of marriage was connected to stanwix, but I cant seem to get further along on their parents christian names, or their own places of birth. thank you for looking.

I found a death record for Mary Ann and it was for the East Ward Westmorland and she was 28 years old. Have you any more information about Mary Ann to gain further records
Since my post to you I have sent for a death certificate for this lady and am now waiting to receive it. Hopefully this will give me a clue as to whether or not she was my great-grandmother. If not, then I am not sure what my next step will be. I had seen the record you referred to but was unable to find out anything more, hence my purchasing the certificate.
